My face when I realised all of the popular charcoal users on DA used charcoal pencils over a pencil sketch. Yeah, yeah, I guess it's easier but it just doesn't seem as talented. I mean, it's really easy to draw if you sketch it out beforehand. I did it once and it made the whole thing a lot better, but it just seems like cheating to me. I guess it's like painting and sketching it at every layer.

Yes, I am aware that people do that. There are many talented artists though that don't, like the god Bob Ross. Have you seen him paint? He has these 30 minute shows where he'll paint a landscape without reference and it looks better than what most people spend days on. His actual paintings are amazing.

Bah, what was I expecting? This is DA, all the really amazing artists have galleries and live off of their art and I guess upload their art elsewhere?
